Supposing indeed that a man had immediateoccasion for
the principal corresponding to that interest, and that nobody
else could be<add>were to be found, that</add> would take it off his hands, in that
case it hard money alone and that alone would
answer his purpose, an Annuity note for the sum
would not be an eligible subsit substitute: but
since in point of fact those to whose circumstances
for the Annuity Note paper is as well
adapted as hard money is are not only in sufficient
number, but in a number little if at all
inferior to those who have the means of re
those whose circumstances put them in a situation
who to receive money, there does not seem to
be in any situation imagination the situation
can sincerely be imagined, much less realized
that can lead a man to by whom the true state
of the case is understood, to hesitate about receiving
Annuity note paper even in preference to hard
cash. The principal oneand with interest is better
than principal without interest is a proposition
of the truth of what no one who understands
the meaning of the terms, can entertain
so much as a momentary doubt. If a doubt would
arise whether a second customer could be found in
in a situation to wait for the principal of the Note
till a third person could be found to give it him in
that case the Note could not by every person be receivedin the instance of every body
be an equivalent for moneyhard cash: but that the supposition thus
made for illustration sake is contrary to fact, seems evident enough as as can be bidIf
