[£1.1s. ] as and for the deposit money for an Annuity Note
Value six guineas (£6.6s) principal money, which, [+] I do [+] on behalf of the
Auditor of his Majesty's
Exchequer,

hereby undertake to deliver to the said [Mr Adams] him or to the Bearer hereof him or to any good
and lawful person producing to me and and having with me at my said Office
this receipt with theperson duly authorized by him in manner hereinafter
mentioned at this my Office any day after the | |of| | signaturename of the said
Mr Adams to the signed

Authority herein contained

call for the same

principal money, together with the interest on the whole £6.6s, thereof, to the
amount ot a farthing every other day, reckoning
from the first day of January of this present year to the day
on which such note shall so be called for andas

N.B. If the Note appliedthus bespoken, and for which the above deposit
was made, be not appliedcalled for within 31 days from
the date hereof, the deposit — money is to be considered
as forfeited, and in what day sows a Note
having thus bespoken be applied for, the interest must
be paid for up to that day inclusive in which
the the note is called called for and taken same is so applied for and taken up.

To the Postmaster of Abingdon in Berkshire
Deliver to the Bearer. hereof, on the terms abovementioned, an the Annuity Note bespoken
as above bespoken he paying on payment of what remaining
due. Witness my hand
