Postmaster on
purchase
19 18 That the partrecompence of the Postmaster on the
sale of each Annuity Note be 2d: one penny thereof [1d] to be paid
by the purchaser: the others to be allowed by and that of previous Receipt
Government: [6] for deposit money be taken out, one halfpenny
if the penny be paid on recovery such Receipt
the other on the receiving of the Note itself.
19.19 That (to simplify the business of telling
packing and examining the purchase money) 19

a particular mode of comprising the amount be
recommended in preference: in which Bank paper
(as well for the advantage of the Bank as to save the
danger of bad money and the trouble of examining
money in that view) Bank paper shall be recommended
in preference to Coin: for instance that of
the £6.6s, the £6 be in Bank paper: and
if the interest make it amount to £6.7s or
more, the 7s shall be paid by a 7s piece of gold called seven shilling
piece:- and that no copper be recceived for a
sum capable of being paid in silver, nor any
silver for a sum capable of being paid in gold.
20 20.19 That, if the purchase money be paid in a form 20
- or an extra
fee paid
other than such form or forms as shall have him
pointed out in such recommendation, an additional
fee of a halfpenny shall be paid to the Postmaster
and that who whether in consideration of such fees, regular and casual, that in all cases shall be answerable
for the goodness of the money he receives. [7]
