In days of yore in a certain
history the name of which has escaped me
possibly it may have been the Fairy Tales
I remember reading on account of a
certain person name not very material
who on a certain occasion
nor of that neither is the remembrance
very material having the misfortune
to have an enemy found
himself by the arms of that same enemy
precipitated into the sea, whereupon
& instead of finding himself drowned
he had the experience as no less agreable than
unexpected of finding himself courteously
greeted and in a transparent palace
little less splendid than that of the sun of
which Ovid sigs sings hospitably
entertained by a no less magnificent
than beneficient Sovereign except the
King of the Waters.
Not many years ago it happened to me to see a worthy &
learned Gentleman of the name of
Sir Jno Nilde who hearing it said that
in the hermitage in which I did dwell
there lived a man who some years
before he was born was had been occupied
in the study of the business
of judicature came to
