No other art branch of knowledge can produce pretends to
produce such assurances of perpetual necessary prosperity
as this. The same authority which
presents the Christian Religion as true presents
it as destined to flourish for evermore
not only without human aid, but in spite
of every human [and even infernal] opposition.
It was in spite of the most violent opposition that
it took root: a symptom of strength which forms
one of its greatest brightest glories.

wanting [that by which may seem to recommend the making
a provision for this branch of instruction at the expence
of the community may appear to be recommended
to people of all descriptions and whatever how different
soever may be their sentiments as well with regard to the truth as the utility of the system

even as pernicious.
