The Articles subscribed or Creeds pronounced
whichsoever be the vehicle the subject of declared
persuasion consists of an assemblage a mass of propositions

These propositions are The sacred volume [composed of the Old and the New Testament]
being among Christians the universally acknowledged, and among Protestants the only acknowledged
source and standard
of rel persuasion
on the subject of religion
there can be no other
than either

either propositions extracted
word for word from the sacred text itself, or propositions inferences
deduced in the way of inference from these original
propositions.
