with directions to stop

insanity and vengeful
motive in Pilater
On the 23d of November 1814 it is that by command
of the to Lords of the Mr Lushington Secretary to the Treasury
addressed to the Commissioners of Excise inclosing a Warrant
from the said Mr Abbot and "the numerous documents which"
says the letter accompanying the same directs them to suspend
all Law Proceedings in regard to the a prosecution command
against him at the suit of the revenue. Why suspend
these law proceedings? The reason stands avowed From Somewhere or other
in the same land there exists a certain Mr Pilater, on the other hand there
exist numerous documents (viz. the accompanying documents)
"strongly indicative of insanity and revengeful motive on
the part of this same Mr Pilater.

Pilater
witness nor informant
This Mr Pilater what relation bears he to the cause?
that of a witness or expected witness? even that would be afford
no reason for preventing treat: it would be a reason
for causing to treat: for thus all that insanity p and motive
might be produced and made to testify against him.
Is he so much as prosecutor or informer? not in this
matter — that the suspicion is that it is some evidence
in itself not capable of being objected to or be brought to
light
