Dean Andrews
2. Vansittart
Indulgence
Evidence
15
A quantity of matter wearing the appearance appearing in the character of
evidence has just been mentioned as suppressed. But
in so far however as irrelevance is a just ground
for suppression, no imputation charge of impropriety can attach upon it
If the nature of the evidence thus suppressed thus much
and no more than thus much only appears or suffices to demonstrate
its irrelevance The It has for its declared object and sole declared object is to prove that in the words
of the delinquent Memorialist "the informers views in giving such
"information are for the sole purpose of extorting money
"from you Memorialist. In the margin of this paragraph
of the Memorial House of Commons printed copy of the
Memorial are the words "See Appendix." This is the In this may
moreover be seen only passage in which any reference is made to the
Appendix. At the close of this paper one a man naturally
looks for the Appendix. No such thing will be found
What he will find is instead of it these words "This
"Appendix is upon the Table of the House of Commons."
