to him to obtain pardon for the intrusion — for
which purpose, though no edition earlier than the
4th could be obtained for the ten, I have been fortunate
enough to obtain a copy of the first edition
for the 11th. Under these circumstances, I take
the liberty of directing the packet to you & leaving
it open, begging of you as to the sending it or
not sending it to Paris, & if sent to Paris, as to the
sending it to the Duke or any other person whatevery
may be most proper. In this packet of his
to me is inclosed a short account of the origin
of the Greek Insurrection from a Greek, which I
have just sent to the Traveller Newspaper in
which I expect to find it inserted tomorrow. His
letter to me contains more matter relative to Greece.
