Mr Benjamin Constant avails himself of
the departure of Mr James Morrison to
express to Mr Jeremy Bentham his
gratitude for the books lent & his esteem
& high value of his character & principles.
He regrets the necessity he is under of sending
this note at this very moment prevents his
adding partial remarks to general approbation.
But he would not miss the opportunity
of returning his thanks & presenting his
homage to one of the first as well as of the
most benevolent philosophers of our age
