I lost no time in
conferring with Mr Buckingham who
as soon as his engagements would
permit went with me to Mr Place's
house - he was not at home but I
shall see him this evening at seven
& I will communicate to you the
result of our interview. Mr Buckingham
I find perfectly satisfied with his
son's progress & the family has
remarked that in French in particular
his improvement has been very
considerable - Mr B. went with the
