Bishop Horsley's declaration
that people have nothing
to do with laws but obey
them — taken as an oracle

With the laws, whatever they are which the
touch of the sceptre has been applied nothing have the people to do
but to obey them. So declared Bishop Horsley. Oracle
of God on all the whatever sounds come out forth from of pulpits.
to these on the part of all hearers are proclamations of understanding
and will made b clear. These from the Bishop of
London raised for this to Canterbury
