4. Societies for the advancement of Botany and
Agriculture Horticulture. Those we have in England
various. The Agricultural Societies in Columbia
do they exi does their attention extend itself to this
less important part of the field? if not yet, it might
at any time. This is among the facts which the Columbian
Agent from Columbia should be informed of. To the acquaintance
he had more or less with Botany, I use Mr Zea, I am credibly informed,
was in no inconsiderable
degree indebted for the
favourable reception he
experienced here.
