Extract — of Blaquiere's letter —
Tripolitya 11 June 1823 —

Pray inform the Philosopher that a most flattering letter
has been voted to him by the Legislative Assembly, and that
the observations are in a course of translation — In other
respects, he has a right to be amply satisfied with the
devotion universally felt here —

Corfu 7 July 1823 —

I hope Mr Bentham does not attribute my failing to address
him more directly to wilful neglect — I rely on your settling
matters in that quarter —
