My dear friend,

Just received your Letter. Your present
engagement I cannot but consider
as good news: for from what is public
it requires no extraordinary sagacity
to guess (as you say in U.S.) at the subject
& occasion of it.

The document I have to shew you
would if looked at, do you no harm at
any rate, & in one way or other, it is in
the notion that by possibility it might be
of use to you, that I hereby say to you
a sight of it is still at your service, on
no other condition than that mentioned in
