InThese reasons - vain would be every attempt to
conceal it from you - you would feel so many chains.
Read through the accompanying paper, if your patience will
carry you so far, and you will see, perhaps but too plainly,
how true this is. If your nerves are equal to this, they are equal
to any thing. Patriotism, philantropy, self command, self
denial, will no longer, in public bodies, and especially in Sovereign
bodies, be empty sounds.
