§ 3 Challenging

Any person knowing
of a challenge may
be an extraneous informant
Art or 1. Any person by whom the utterance
or known conveyance of a discourse intended to have
the effect of a challenge, is known or suspected, may
appear in the character of an informant, and give
information, as above such person is stiled an remaneans
informant.

the one party is placed in the situation of
supposedutterer, and the other in that of supposed accepter
of the challenge.

If no previous information

challengee he is supposed
acceptor of challenge
Art or 3. If such extraneous information
is received at the Judicatory, antecedently to any
such information given by the supposed challengee
the Challengee is thereby placed in a situation of
supposed accepter of the challenge

If so he will be dealt
with as such unless?he proves inability
of conveying information
Art or 4. As such, he will be dealt with
unless it be that he proves to the satisfaction of
the judge, that it was for want of ability, and not
for want of intention and endeavour, that he failed
to convey the information as early as, or earlier
that, it was conveyed by the extraneous informant.
