For prevention of
the effect of a challenge
Judge may take any
repressive measures
though for the time
more afflictive than
ultimate satisfaction
or punishment
Art 1. For preventing the effect of a challenge,
the judge may at any time, antecedently to definitive
sentence, take any such measures as to
him shall seem necessary, for the purpose of
such prevention: even although such measures
for the time, as in case of imprisonment, be
more afflictive than the compensationsatisfaction or punishment,
or both, appointed by the definitive sentence

Art 2.That the receiver, by whom information
has been given of a challenge, no pecuniary damage
on considerable vexation sustained by him
in consequence thereof, unless it be the time
consumed in attendance on the occasion of the
information and the judicial meeting, no compensation
except for the loss of time, or costs, if any
incurred will be to be awarded. But a fine
proportioned to the mischievousness of the offence,
and the circumstances of the offender
will be to be imposed. So likewise in the case of
the accepter of a challenge: So likewise in the case
of the evil-conscious conveyer or concealer,
as above
