Duty to explanation

To what length in the field of mathematics this
substitution of ordinary popular and unabbreviated language
to scientific and abbreviated is capable in the nature of the case of being carried
with advantage can scarcely be determined anticedently to experiment
What is certain is that in the in the actual<add>practice</add>performance of algebraical operations details it can not be
i.e in any other occasion as for any other purpose than that of explanation
in the way of instruction
carried over the whole. For in as far as persons
in detail the system of abbreviation has beenis essentially unnecessary
to the performance of the operations themselves. unless taken in the aggregate. But
for this assistance a wholelong life might be have been consumed
before more than a small part of those which have
actually been performed could be perused so much as have been understood:
after their being respectively invented not to speak of the labour expended in the cases
of the invention

But while the use of an ordinary language were confined
to the giving expression to principles i.e. to propositions
of so general and extensive in their a nature, as
that by each of these large bundles of details bundles
more or less large and copious, within a cons degree
of progress considerable enough to be productive of sensible
advantage might not thus be made is a matter
to which experiment might may be looked to for for a
determinate certain answer, and in the mean time the conjectures
his anticipation views taken of the subject by the apbly learned  ?
learned for a provisional one.
