This principle will be found applicable as well to Algebra as to

Of the intellectual instrument sort of indication here in view as applied to Geometry to the Appendix
N1 presents two specimens; one applied to the
Euclids first proposition, which is a problem; the other to
his fifth proposition which is a theorem. In both
instances this part formed the Key, formsstands the second
of the four points exemplified in those two propositions
as they standexpressed upon the purely verbal expression maximizing
principle.
