Chrest. Tab. II Conclusion

With Geometry during the rationale, is employable as a time
sense algebra: its use is therefore direct or none.

In this case as in that of Geometry, and an additional
instrument of elucidation would be afforded by the application
of the one indication prescribing principle by the indication
of the use made of practical use attached to from the solution of the several
sorts of problems for the solution of which the Algebraic language
is want to be employed.

On this occasion it is not by every application that
be may be or that have been made of them, that in the sense
here in view they could with propriety be said to be put
to use. Only in so far as it were had been or was capable of being made subservient either to
sense to security or comfort the business of pleasures in common ordinary life, whether immediately,
or through the medium of this or that spot in the
field of art and science, that the application made
could with propriety be found a useful one.

Take for instance collection of solutions intituled Praxis or the Questions for praxis subjoined
to the English Translation of Euler's Algebra. The number
of them is 213. In every one of them the application is
made of the algebraic form, to the solution of some
problem. But it is not of these 213 problems it is not
from every one that by any person or persons benefit, in
any shape, over and above the pleasure of donorable form of playing at this
kind of game, sums capable of being received reaped. An additional
praxis therefore would be from this miscellaneous but
to put out such as were are in their nature applicable
to beneficial use, and by indication of the occasion, to
thus in what shape they are respectively capable of being
put to use.
