Kinds of Stat: Inserenda

NOTE

It is curious to observe the manner in which the
two qualities of discernment I know not which most to admire and integrity (I am
speaker of the integrity of the historian) display
themselves in our Author: His Integrity, in representing
things, as I have observed not as they are
but as certain persons may be supposed to wish to
have them thought to be: His discernment, where
such wishes stand neater, by representing things them
[again] still not as they are, but are said to be.
I think I can tell the reader student, and it will be the clue may be a useful one to
