Comment Inserenda Comments &c Divine Law.

The part of On this short and debate passage of our Author's book
I shall make no particular comment, but in place of
it I shall submitt once for all a few considerations tending calculated to
evince the impropriety of mixing theology either natural
or revealed with jurisprudence; and of natural in particular with either Jurisprudence or Morality,
with to show of how whether use absolute unserviceable and indeed disserviceable the idea of God is for the
purpose of solving any political problem, and to represent point
the absurdity of gambling in the manner he
has done, things sacred with profane.

I shall begin with natural Theology which not with proceeding from
the supposition that there is no positive command, no
will of God expressed by any ostensible instrument in
the case endeavours supposes however to the will of God
to be collected or at least collectible from inference, and then to for do political right and wrong
and then upon the Will of God so collected proposes to proceed polit determine what is
politically right and wrong.

With natural Theology I shall begin, and endeavour to
show in a few words what helps it does may can not afford to
Legislation, and what it may does afford.
The A help it cannot afford to is to point out in any
instance the measures proper either to be taken or to be avoided.
The reasons are very plain and obvious convincing, if
man's a man's fears passions and prejudices would permit those him to
observe them, or their man's his fears, to give them weight.
A help it may afford when [properly] handled with propriety
is to suggest motives to the governors to adopt and to people
