Of pursuance of notice
the consequences may

Art. 5. Of pursuance of notice the consequences
may be of an ambiguous or mixt character — acquisition
of a positive benefit or simple escape from a burthen,
according to circumstances.

Art. 7. An example of a benefit conferring
or benefit announcing notice is notice to receive money.
Money for example at the charge of a party on the
other side: if no in the instrument of notice
no limitation in point of time is contained, receipt
may be applied for at any distance of time: but
if a day be fixt after which it can not be received
it never will be receivable unless upon utterance
given to a an excuse valid and satisfactory excuse: not
