Tothill Fields Inclosure Bill

and their Right if any of having the same or the like Interest in the
said intended Poor House in lieu thereof) be vested in the Person or Persons
Corporation or Corporations to whom the same Rights now belong
in reference to the present existing Poor House or to whom for the
time being the said Rights would have belonged in reference to the
said existing Poor House in case this Act had not been made. —

§. 17. Allowance for Lodgings
in the mean time

And be it Enacted that in the mean time and untill
the said new intended Poor House shall be ready for the reception of the
Inhabitants of the said existing Poor House and before the same shall
be entered upon for the purpose of being pulled down as aforesaid the
said Feoffee or Feoffees shall make to the said Keeper of the said Waste
And also to each of the said Poor Persons for themselves and their respective
Families an Allowance in Money sufficient to defray the Charges of removing
their respective goods to any Place situate within either of the said
united Parishes And shall also from the time of such Entry make to
to the said Keeper and to the Head of each of the said Families a
Weekly allowance in Money payable at the Commencement of each Week
and sufficient to constitute a full compensation for the Weekly use and
occupation of their several Lodgings or Tenements with their Appurtenances
And that in case the said Keeper or any such Poor Person shall
be dissatisfied with any allowance so made or tendered as aforesaid
And also in case any such Weekly Payment shall be at any time
in Arrear, it shall and may be lawful to and for every such Person
so dissatisfied to make Complaint to any two Justices of the Peace
for the City and Liberty of Westminster who shall thereupon make
such Order for confirming enlarging or reducing such proposed allowance
as to them in their Discretion shall seem meet and shall
inforce the Execution of such order in like manner as any Order made
upon an Overseer of the Poor for the Relief of any Poor Person may
be enforced by Law . —
