Use of Uses.
Use of Use-giving

1

Subserviency to use
marks the
degree of limit to the accuracy
needful in demonstrations
and definitions.

By subserviency to use is given the limit to the need of
accuracy in demonstrations and definitions

What degree of accuracy is subservient to use, necessary to
the perfection of use may be made known by observation, experience
and experiment. When this degree of accuracy is obtained attained, all
have and test are employed in the second. After any ulterior degree
of accuracy, no and labour have and should
labour so much more valuable than ordinary labour,
consumed in waste

When the whole number of the Elements of Euclid has been
cast in not the form of a tree — a P — an
Encyclopedical tree, there will be a tree for consideration
whether any other and to the same
to the knowledge and ascertainment of same truths is
afforded by the nature of things

So in regard to definitions they are not a few the mixtures in
which among crumbs are blue ones to double: has had
place which of two definition or definitions in still greater
number is No proper one. In this question unappropriate is
in what is not a true end: an assumption
that if not because one of them is true right and proper, another
is not so — and so in regard to others in any number.

Just as if in synonymous terms. Of this or that one is a
proper one, all the others are improper ones.

Whatsoever be the use of the definition the purpose of
right or curved or the practical purpose — of this definition, if by all
of them the practical purpose would seem equally well in and for b
the one they all of them yes if there were 50 of them, all right
and proper ones

Thus as to lines, every line that could you can produce is either a
right line, or a curve line, or say a compound of right line and
curve line one or more — there is in any of either or each

Take then any question — either it is throughout a right line, or
throughout the whole of its length, by a right line drawn from the two
extreme points of the whole, or at some part of it, a space — a
surface bounded all round will be inclosed
