Instruments, or say
signs by which, by
posology, impressions (a),
thence ideas, are
produced located in the mind,
differ, as between
alegomorphics and
morphoscopics;
and as the senses they
present themselves to differ,
viz. 1. sight a hearing
2. sight.

1. The matter of which Posology is composed
or say the subject matter of Posology consists in certain
signs instruments which are employed in the endeavor to communicate
either to operate upon ideas of any sort in
such manner as either to fix them in the mind in
which they have taken place, or to chain to, and if
needful to fix them there, and in a certain other matter mind
or at other minds one or more.
The These instruments which on this occasion are
for this purpose employed are termed signs
These signs differ from each other, according to the
senses on which they are respectively employed in making
impressions: or say producing impressions (a)
