2 Of new ideas communicated is made by means of their
relation to the old: of things unknown by means of their
relation to things known.

Relations are either 1. of identity or 2. of
diversity: of relations of diversity the diversification is
infinite.

In an ensuing Section will be brought to view,
in the character of the two grand instruments of alegomorphic or say form-
not-regarding posology or say quantity-having, synonymization
and abbreviation or say abridgement
By both of them identity of ideas is all along predicated
where the variety of their signs of their respective signs is seen
to have place

3. In an ensuing Section it will be shewn
how it is that in the field of alego-morphic or say
form-not-regarding posology or say quantity-having
(arithmetic and algebra (included) whatsoever is
done is by indication given of equivalency as
between one the one object or say subject matter and another the other:
= equivalency as between the two modes of
affording indication of the diversity identity of the one
idea signified to which expression is given by signs more than one
