Radicalism not § II. Equal Division Distinction
§ eg. III Moveables

33 32
Luxuries radicals
might not much
grieve at the loss of:
but with them would
be gone necessaries

Of all this vast mass of value lost, some parts there
are it must be confessed, by the loss of which the my brother the radicals
would not be very severely afflicted by the loss:luxury in & and purchase of the
all its shapes splendid inability, as to them it would seem, in all its
shapes But all along with all these inutilities would perish
all necess necessaries: of the existing stock, the consumption
would be speedy, renewal impossible.

32 33
Necessary consequences;
starvation unexampled:
make speedy
death in the conflictcontest
for food an alleviation,

Supposing all to remain in quietness, All things remaining quiet starvation to an extent
far exceeding any thing that of which any has ever yet been brought to view by experience brought
would be a certain an unpreventable an immediate
as well as unpreventable consequence: but Happily however the
waveprocess of destruction would be ( for the most part influence a less afflictive shape. be duties rendered
less lingering, death would be accelerated and rendered and misery rendered less compleat, by the
serve of material and universal destructive slaughter, what of which the struggle for subsistence
would be productive. As the stage at the close
of the tragedy of Tom Thumb, the surface of the United Kingdom would
be covered strewn over and with the dead, and there would be none to bury
them. The catastrophe being per Operation, design,
catastrophe - being all so perfectly impossible, the
tragedy may without much reproach to the dramatist
on the score of barbarity be represented as concluding
with a farce
