While his misdoings were confined to my own insignificant
person, and to that establishment in which in favour of which he had
in favour of which such was his generosity or such his
policy he had repeatedly more than once stood forth in the House of Commons
and born testimony and to that universally
respectable person in which I had so material a concern an interest
though divested of all possibility of profit till the public
had reaped benefit, in degree and variety beyond any
thing but the individual thus deserted had ever dared so gone so far as
much as to imagine — thus long had have I forbore laying
before the public the any of these his hitherto secret sins.
But beholding him standing forth in the character of a
persecutor, labouring in the name of the persecuted and
never persecuting Jesus to destroy those whose misfortune
it may be to differ with him on any of those facts in on
which security an do any two men perfectly agree. I
will now and not till now and for this cause though
never for any less other cause will I stand have I stood forth to lift up
though not so much as I could lift up of that
veil cloak under cover of which that which in my eyes
is so much evil. that to bring in with all his
might to quench that reform which he once stood up professed to advocate,
covering all those abuse corruption in all its shapes with the , by
of his tongue, and without the mostly enjoying
in release the sweets of that would be to which his party professes to me
renounce and to abjure. later
