2. The time of the meeting was posterior by half a year
posterior to the time when by the under the term produced by
those bodies in the breast of bid of Kings and Honourable and Right Honourable Houses
at Westminster, the British Arts by which the yoke was taken off
the necks of Honourable and Right Honourable Houses at Dublin
were had been perfect. It proves nothing therefore as to the composition
of these asso armed and associated bodies.

3. What can not be denied is — that the members of
these bodies being all armed as well as trained, and their
number gr so much greater than that of the kinds of arms
that had been furnished by government, no person over and above the 16000 could have
been a member of any such corps who had not been able
to procure arms either by means of his own, or by money
furnished by th for the purpose by some other individual or
individuals.

But especially considering how poor a country Ireland was at that
time, the aggregate number of these armed Volunteers seems to preclude exclude
the supposition of its their being exclusively composed of men who
were at the same time able and willing to purchase arms
for themselves. If so, so many as did not purchase arms
for themselves but made use of arms purchased by th for them
by others would naturally be the servants [or the dependants]
of those others: and so many of them as were in the condition,
so many as shall have who were in a condition with reference
to the point in question were exactly upon a par with the
majority of universal suffrage men there and here.
