★ Find a new page to transcribe in our list of Untranscribed Manuscripts
Welcome to the Transcribe Bentham project and thank you for your first transcript of JB/023/148/002, which was an excellent effort. This was a very good transcript – both the tagging and the content of the text were completed quite accurately. We have made a few small changes to your transcript, which can be viewed at [1]. There are a couple of things to bear in mind. When a hyphenated word appears at the end of a line, you should transcribe the whole word without the hyphen along with any punctuation that immediately follows it and then insert the ‘Line break’ tag. Paragraph tags should go around the entirety of a paragraph, rather than being placed at the end of the paragraph. To do this, highlight the whole paragraph with your mouse and then click the ‘Paragraph’ button in the toolbar. Many thanks for your submission and contribution to the project. We look forward to receiving more of your transcripts in the future! If you want to let us know that you have finished a transcript, you should click ‘Send a message to the Editors’ at the bottom of the page (when in ‘Edit’ mode). If you have any questions, feel free to send us a message.
