At the German moravian Settlement of Sarepta, a little

borders the Caspian desert & represents
the old shores of the Caspian. They continue
towards the Don & Bay of Azof,
where there seems to have been a junction
of old between the Caspian & Black Seas.
If you go from Czarytsyn towards the Don,
distant only 60 Versts from the Volgha at
that place, you may clearly observe,
how much higher flows the Don & how
low the Volgha, from which you may conclude
