<p>It was in the year <del><gap/></del> 1800 that soon after the <add>accession of Mr<hi rend='superscript'>superscript text</hi> Addington</add> the close of <add>upon</add><lb/>
the first reign of Pitt the second, that the ensuing plan for<lb/>
a supposed improvement in the currency, was submitted<lb/>
