Permit me to offer to you my sincere
and unfeigned condolence for the severe domestic affliction
with which it has pleased the Almighty, disposer
of events to visit your family and which I trust that
you will endeavour to bear up against, with firmness
and Christian patience.

I arrived here about ten days ago, having come
by way of Trieste. I mentioned to you in my letter from
Corfu, that I immediately upon seeing the probability
of my being delayed there, forwarded your communications
to Mr Bowring which reached him safely. You will of
course have heard long ere this reaches you, of the conclusion
of the Loan for the Greeks, it has been contracted
for at 59 per cent & with the deduction of charges
&c the nation the will receive about 400,000 £, being

they have nominated you and Ld Byron as Commissioners,
