to plead for their excuse: if therefore he were to be<lb/>
exempted from sharing the same degree of legal infamy, it<lb/>
would probably be looked upon by the people as an improper<lb/>
partiality <sic>shewn</sic> to opulence. Infamous punishment<lb/>
may therefore be made a constant ingredient in the punishment<lb/>
for <add>such</add> offences <del>of this stamp</del>, without any inconvenience<lb/>
