No matter what the Injury threatned [Injury] 1. There are therefore as many different
sorts of threats <add>threats</add> as there are of injuries.[Then
exhibit or refer to a catalogue of the several sorts of injuries
recognised as such by the Law.] Nor whether the Threat be more or less liquidated.

2. With regard to the nature of the injury it is plain
that a threat may be altogether unliquidated or
more or less liquidated.

It may be altogether said to be altogether un-liquidated when
no intimation at all is given of what kind the injury
shall be: as if you were to say to your
adversary I will take care that You shall bitterly
repent the having done so or so; or, You
shall surely rue the day when You did so or so.

It may be said to be more or less liquidated when
an intimation more or less particular is given of
the kind of injury intended; as if you were to say
to your adversary; that carcass or that House of
yours shall pay for this; or depend upon it, before
it is long I shall give You a sound drubbing,
or I will be sure to beat You the first
time I get You alone.
