Next as to motives of the seductive alluring To alluring, corruption, and in some cases, venality kind.
These, as has been said consist in the prospect
of good, or something that is agreable. Now this
good may be what? any kind of pleasure whatsoever.
The motive may consequently be of
the self-regarding, the social, or the dissocial
kind. In any case a failure of the sort in
question when produced by the influence of a
motive of the alluring kind may be termed
