Thus much the Auther has premised for our instruction,
concerning Laws in General. He had ambition
and a generous disdain for Special Pleaders and
Attornies Charge Pupils, whose Stock of knowledge is included
in the desk they write on. He seem'd to tread in the footsteps of profane practition
and servile+ + earth born reptile drudges, unhallowed by the milk of Alma mater.
He had prudence and penetration and was resolved to lay his foundations
sure. He resolved to clamber ascend up to the heights of
Theology and Pulpit-Metaphysics to fetch materials
