_____
Total 336 - 3 right
angles besides another
great bend.
1/2 was totally inaudible
be a distance
if not more than
80 feet
A bell close any to an
end to as close as
it would be without
touching was not
heard at all.
It was of the size
of a common House
bell such as are
hung to windows.
A very gently tap
with a pearl case
was heard perfectly
Even a whisper
was heard
A very low voice
such as would not
have been heard
length of an ordinary
room was heard
perfectly
It required the mouth
to be buried as it
were in the tube.
A small ath
conveyed the 330
sound as well as in
a large Frenchhorn
piece. But the French
horn piece was most
commodious as it was
easier to shift from
speaking to hearing &
vice versa.
