Great severity at the outset upon the brow of the new<lb/>
Hercules: <del>fierce</del><add>appalling</add> glances Put down upon the culprit<lb/>
Stable keeper: fire and flame in the superior region, tremblings<lb/>
and qualings in the lower, <del>But times change; and dispositions</del><lb/>
<del>with them: and though dispositions should not individuals<add>persons</add></del><lb/>
<del>themselves change in time.</del>  I put the <unclear>fairest</unclear> case<lb/>
forward: I speak of the best that can happen. I suppose<lb/>
- I hope no offence by the supposition - it is but a<lb/>
supposition - that noble Lords <del>are in earnest</del><add>mean what they <del>appear</del>would be thought to mean</add> - and that<lb/>
the object is - <del>and</del><add>not merely to make the place - much less</add> to <unclear>rivet</unclear> the abuse but to remove it.<lb/>
