1 Panopticon Bill VIII Metasylum

Art. 1. Previously to the entrance of any such

Metasylum Service Engagement,
to be executed
by Metasylum-man
& Governor --
Penitentiary Prisoner or quondam Penitentiary Prisoner
in the Metasylum, whether immediately upon his discharge
from the said Penitentiary House, or upon the expiration
of any other of the options abovementioned, an instrument
of engagement under the name of a
Metasylum
-Service Engagement shall be executed by such
Prisoner or quondam Prisoner and the said Governor:
which said instrument may be mutatis mutandisaccording
to the Form marked [E.1.]

Art. 2. Of such engagement there shall be

Triplicates thereof -- for
1. Metasylum-man
2. Metasylum
3. Penitentiary House --
triplicate originals: one to be delivered to the Prisoner or
quondam Prisoner so engaging, the two others to be kept
on the part of the said Governor, one at the Metasylum
the other at the said Penitentiary House.
