<p><add>The punishment of</add> Pickeering is <del>thus performed</del> <add>to be thus executed.</add><lb/>
The offender is to be <del>tied to</del> <add>suspended</add> by one hand<lb/>
to the pillar of disgrace</p>
<p>2. Under one foot is to be placed an iron<lb/>
spike, on which his foot is to rest, and<lb/>
by which alone is to be supported underneath</p>
<p>3. His other foot is to be tied up, or kept<lb/>
from assisting <sic>it's</sic> fellow, by being connected<lb/>
with it and separated from it by an inflexible<lb/>
iron bar.</p>
<p>This is the afflictive punishment for<lb/>
Footpads: to wit robbers, when they <add>go out to</add> rob on<lb/>
foot.</p>

is to be thus executed.<lb/>
1 An instrument of the figure of a horse is<lb/>
to be provided but <del>as thin</del> in the body part<lb/>
as thin as it can be <del>without</del> so as to support<lb/>
the weight of a man.<lb/>
2. On this instrument the offender is to be set<lb/>
astride; his hands being tied behind him in<lb/>
such manner that no part of the weight of<lb/>
his body can be supported by them.</p>

Pickeering

The punishment of Pickeering is thus performed to be thus executed.
The offender is to be tied to suspended by one hand
to the pillar of disgrace

2. Under one foot is to be placed an iron
spike, on which his foot is to rest, and
by which alone is to be supported underneath

3. His other foot is to be tied up, or kept
from assisting it's fellow, by being connected
with it and separated from it by an inflexible
iron bar.

This is the afflictive punishment for
Footpads: to wit robbers, when they go out to rob on
foot.

Riding the wooden iron
horse.

The punishment of riding the iron horse
is to be thus executed.
