<p>And be it further enacted, that the <sic>Sherifs</sic> and Keepers of the <lb/>Gaols, and all those who have the Custody of any person or persons <lb/>so indicted before the aforesaid Justices of Oyer and Terminer in the <lb/>Borough of Southwark or the County of <sic>Surry</sic>, and so as aforesaid <lb/>to be tried at the Sessions of Oyer and Terminer and Gaol Delivery — <lb/>of Newgate for the City of London to be <sic>holden</sic> in the Old Bailey <lb/>shall and they are hereby severally authorized and required by <lb/><note>The Gaolers in <lb/>those parishes to bring <lb/>their prisoners to <lb/>Newgate for their <lb/>Trials.</note> <lb/>Order of the said Justices of Oyer and Terminer in the Borough <lb/>of Southwark, or County of <sic>Surry</sic> (who are hereby required to — <lb/>make the same) without his Majesty's writ of <foreign>Habeas Corpus</foreign>, — <lb/>to convey and deliver such person or persons being so as aforesaid <lb/>indicted into the Custody of the Keeper of the Gaol of Newgate — and the said Keeper of Newgate is hereby required to receive — <lb/>such person or persons into his Custody, and him her or them <lb/>safely keep and bring into Court, as they shall severally be — <lb/>called to their Arraignment, trial or deliverance and shall take <lb/>all proper and legal custody of every <del>qual</del> <add>Such</add> person or persons, — <lb/>till he she or they shall be delivered by due course of law; — <lb/>in like manner as if he, she, or they were charged, committed or <lb/>indicted for any similar crime within the City of London. </p> | |||
