(1) §. 7. And be it further enacted, that, for

certain divers aforementioned, to the several classes of persons herein after respectively above- mentioned,
for the collection of the produc of the duties so to be
made paid by the several classes of persons taking out
such licences respectively as aforesaid, and for the exercise of divers other
functions also hereinafter mentioned it shall be lawful
for his Majesty, his Heirs and Successors from time to time by commission under the
Great Seal of Great Britain revocable at pleasure , to constitute and
appoint Commissioners in such number as from
time to time his Majesty his heirs and successors, may seem meet, and therein to
specify and declare what proportion of such number a number less than the
whole number of such Commissioners shall be
necessary and sufficient to constitute a Board for
all purposes generally or for such and such purpose
in particular
as also for what
days and during
what hours such
Commissioners shall
collectively or separately severally
be bound to
give attendance,
with such Salaries and other
Emoluments for themselves and their subordinates herein after mentioned as his Majesty his Heirs and Successors may from time to
time may from time to time be pleased to appoint which said Commissioners
shall respectively be stiled Commissioners of Police
or collectively taken the Board of Police, or , the Control Board of
Police and the fund formed for the purpose
of defraying the expences of the Police by means and out
of the produce of such Duties as aforesaid shall
be termed the Police Fund and after defraying
the expence of such Salaries and Emoluments and
other
