When I had the honour to wait on you with the model of
any improved Chain Pump, I did not understand that
you made any objections to it, but on the contrary that you
promised to consider of it when your business led that may:
Since which I have shown it to some Captains in his
Majesty's Navy, as well as to other Gentlemen upon whose
judgement I could depend, who unanimously agree that
it would be an usefull improvement if adopted.
