<p>I arrived here 4 days ago and set off again for Petersbourg<lb/>this evening. I am now at Baron Ofenberg's taking leave<lb/> of him. You can have but a very short letter. I am <lb/> quite out of heart for not having yet received any <lb/> one of your letters these five months almost. I received<lb/> here a letter from Pleschijeff in which he tells me that <lb/> M<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> Shairpe notwithstanding the express directions I had <lb/> given him to the contrary has sent your letters to M.<lb/> whether they will be sent back again, or further <gap/> <lb/> lord knows where all, I know not.
