<p>At a Meeting at Westminster June 28. 1781 present a Majority<lb/>
of the Judges who had viewed the pieces of Ground recommended<lb/>
by the Supervisors, &#x2014; reported that Wandsworth North Fields<lb/>
did not appear to them to be a proper place for either of the<lb/>
Penitentiary Houses but that they were unanimously of<lb/>
opinion that Battersea rise was a <add>very</add> proper place for them<lb/>
both.</p>
<p>A New report was now presented by the supervisors<lb/>
signed by Sir Charles Bunbury and Tho<hi rend="superscript">s</hi>
Bowdler Esq<hi rend="superscript">r</hi> recommending<lb/>
Battersea rise as a proper for both the Houses. &#x2014;</p>
<p>This report was approved by the Meeting, the approbation was<lb/>
signed <gap/> &#x2014;</p>

application be made to Lord Spencer the proprietor of<lb/>
Battersea rise, for a particular of the Ground to be<lb/>
purchased for the penitentiary Houses, together with an<lb/>
Estimate of the Value of the said Ground.</p>

At a Meeting at Westminster June 28. 1781 present a Majority
of the Judges who had viewed the pieces of Ground recommended
by the Supervisors, — reported that Wandsworth North Fields
did not appear to them to be a proper place for either of the
Penitentiary Houses but that they were unanimously of
opinion that Battersea rise was a very proper place for them
both.

A New report was now presented by the supervisors
signed by Sir Charles Bunbury and Thos Bowdler Esqr recommending
Battersea rise as a proper for both the Houses. —

This report was approved by the Meeting, the approbation was
signed
