not time to take a copy. It was much to the above
purport and the remaining part was nearly as follows.

You may judge from this sample that this note was
not written in a very calm moment.

I sent note & letter together by my servant with directions
to give it into the Marshal's own hands if possible but
not till he saw all the company was gone. The man
was detained till the letters were read and brought back
for answer that the Marshal was obliged to go to Zerska
Zills very early the next morning but that he would
be back again by 6 o'clock in the afternoon and
begged that I would call on him at that time.
