Fitzherbert, under the idea of thanking him for it<lb/>as the fruit of his good offices. To those good offices (which as I told <lb/>you he had offered me) it may naturally be supposed to have <lb/>been owing, at least in part; and at any rate, you will easily <lb/>conceive my having more than one motive for ascribing it to <lb/>that cause. This answer you will find on the other leaf. As <lb/>to my seeing A.
